WN 123a M - FM Wasser

Flak-Gruppen-Gefechtstand (Flagruko) 123aM is located in the dune area to the east of Fort Huisduinen. The complex consists of several bunkers of type M151 and one of type Fl250. A concrete watchtower was built on the latter bunker. Radio and transmission equipment were set up in the command area of the bunker. This is also where the radar data of enemy aircraft was kept. The watchtower contained measuring equipment at the top under a kind of glass dome. The power supply was provided by its own generator. The tower was camouflaged as a private house, so elongated concrete protrusions were made at the top, to which boards with roof tiles were attached. Because of these bulges, the tower was named "Crown Bunker" after the war. A shed was also built against the tower to complete the camouflage.
