This monument was inaugurated on June 5, 1966 in the presence of King Baudouin. It pays tribute to the members of the Belgian volunteer corps who fell in Korea in 1951 and 1953. This corps, which was disbanded on his return to Belgium, received several awards after the war, including the Presidential Citation from the President of the United States of America and the President of South Korea.
