Crash Location Lancaster PD221 BQ-R
On 3 February 1945 Avro Lancaster Mk. 1 PD221, BO-R crashed 250 metres west of this spot. All crew members lost their lives. They are buried at the local cemetery in Westerbeek. In fronf of the church in Westerbeek is a memorial to commemorate the crew.
