Information Sign Crash Halifax MK III Zuilichem

On April 25, 1944, the Halifax MK III of RCAF 420 Sqdn crashed at this location.
Five crew members were killed.

Flying Officer (Air Bomber) Alfred Samuel Redmonds, J/28213, age unknown
Flying Officer (Pilot) Davd Douglas Watterson, J/20177, age unknown
Warrant Officer (Nav. Bomber) Edward Victor Webb, R/114846, 21 years.
These soldiers are buried in the local cemetery of Zuilichem.

Two other soldiers survived the crash and were captured.
