Belgian War Grave Sugny

At the municipal cemetery of Sugny is the grave of a fallen of the Second World War.

"Here rests Roland CREPELLE
Soldier 5th Ardennes Hunters
Died for the fatherland in Deinze on 25-5-1940 at the age of 23 years.
R.I.P."

Roland CREPELLE was born in Sugny on November 5, 1917.
In 1940 he was seriously wounded in Deinze during fighting at the intersection of the Leie and the Schipdonk Canal.
He died in hospital on May 25 from his previous injuries.
