Machine Gun Nest
Machine gun posts were constructed in some of the more strategically located buildings in and around the fortress. This is also the case in the building of café Barbiertje. At the top right of the side wall on the side of the moat, the stucco is irregular. Here was an opening in the wall behind which a machine gunner could sit.
