Monument Arcen And Velden Nootdorp

Monument Arcen en Velden
This monument was made of ceramics in 1946.

After the Second World War, the most affected Dutch municipalities were adopted by less severely affected
municipalities. The municipality of Arcen en Velden in Limburg was adopted by Nootdorp. A large collection of household effects, textiles and livestock was kept. The gifts were then
trucks to Arcen and Velden. Out of gratitude, the people of Arcen and Velden donated a monument in August 1946. This ceramic statue shows a number of war scenes,
above which on the front the arms of Arcen and Velden and in the top the peace dove. On the back, the assistance provided by Nootdorp is depicted and the coat of arms of Nootdorp is depicted.
