Monument To The Fighters Of The Revolution St. Petersburg

Monument To The Fighters Of The Revolution St. Petersburg

In St. Petersburg, in the center of the Field of Mars, stands the Monument to the Warriors of the Revolution. This monument consists of several stones with inscriptions and was erected in 1919. The Eternal Flame was added centrally in 1957, which now attracts the most attention. It is the first Eternal Flame built in Russia/Soviet Union, and the fire from this flame has been used to light other Eternal Flames elsewhere in the country, such as the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Moscow.
