Air-raid Shelter Kleine Heide

n July 1939, the Venlo city council decided to allocate a loan of almost NLG 43,000 for the construction of 4 bomb shelters:
1) Kaldenkerkerweg/''Kleine Heide'' (150 people)
2) next to the Loyolastraat/Leutherweg (250 people)
3) Rummerkampstraat (700 people) and
4) corner Dr. Blumenkampstraat/Meeuwbeemdweg (300 people).
The latter was NOT built due to cost overruns of the other 3 air raid shelters. The 3 air-raid shelters are all still intact, but provisionally closed to third parties by the municipality of Venlo.
