British Headquarters Lancaster House

This 1943 office building on Fehrbelliner Platz was first used by the Wehrmacht and after the war the British headquarters moved in. It was then known as Lancaster HouseToday it houses the Senate Administration for Urban Development, Building and Housing. Monuments in the courtyard commemorate the victims of the World Wars and the National Socialist and Communist arbitrariness. A red telephone booth near the entrance is a gift from the occupation forces
