Stumbling Stones Nieuwendijk 157

'A HUMAN BEING IS FORGOTTEN ONLY WHEN HIS NAME IS FORGOTTEN'
(Talmud)

Here in Amsterdam two Stumbling Stones were laid on December 8, 2021 for:

JACOB DE LEEUW, murdered on November 1, 1943 in Schoppinitz.

ESTHER DE LEEUW-DE VRIES, murdered on July 23, 1943 in Sobibor.

These Stumbling Stones are here for Jewish war victims, deported and murdered in the Second World War.
