Stumbling Stones Willaertstraat 9-15 (voorheen 3)

'A HUMAN BEING IS FORGOTTEN ONLY WHEN HIS NAME IS FORGOTTEN'
(Talmud)

Here in Amsterdam two Stumbling Stones were laid for:

RUBEN SALOMON SWAAB, murdered in 1944 in Central Europe.

BETJE SWAAB-VAN PLOEG, murdered on November 19, 1943 in Auschwitz.

These Stumbling Stones are here for Jewish war victims, deported and murdered in the Second World War.
