Roadblock Bunker Visé 2 (Vi 2)

Le barrage du câble Vi 2 II from 1933-34. The cable barrier in front of bunker Vi2.

These cast iron posts served as roadblocks. They were located at 25 meters and 100 meters from a bunker. In this case, this is the barrage at 100 m. This and the down the road 'barrage du câble' of m. are the last two remaining posts of this bunker.

A steel cable could be stretched between the posts, preventing through traffic. At the time of World War II, these were not only cars but also horse and carriage.

The posts are numbered and coded. This bollard is coded as Vi2 II (number 10) indicating that it belongs to the nearby bunker Vi 2 of the sector Visé from line 'le Position Fortifiée de Liège' PFL 3. Photo 3 shows the bunker near the trees in the bend.

The post across the road no longer exists.
