Bunker FE 6 Retinne

This is bunker FE 6 at Retinne.

The bunker is part of sector Fléron-Evegnée (FE) from de 2nd line of defense for the city of Liège. La Position Fortifiée de Liège 2, PFL 2. The bunker is at 900 m form fort Evegnée.

The bunker is located in a field and is overgrown with srcubs. Only the doorway is well visiable. And the bunker can be visited. See the gunopening (and to the left the granade launcher fot handgranades) inside for defence when the outher door was forced and the men were at close combat and had to defend their lives. (In general all bunkers in these lines were equipped with tow doors.)

When after the war the bunkers lost their strategic position for the defens of Belgium, the plot and bunker were sold. The iron door and shutters were sold as scrap.
