Memorial Stones Corbion

At the entrance to the cemetery there is a row of identical gravestones on the left for victims of the Second World War. This mainly concerns political prisoners in addition to a few soldiers and one resistance fighter. A number of them are buried in Germany, some are buried in the family grave.

There is a memorial stone for the political prisoners:
ARNOULD Constant, non-commissioned officer of the gendarmerie, died in Neuengamme on January 17, 1945.
COLSON Jean, died in the Essen region in March 1945.
DENIS René, non-commissioned officer of the gendarmerie, died in Buchenwald on April 6, 1945
HUART Marc, died in Essen on October 23, 1944
MAQUA Emile, died in Essen on October 23, 1944.
MAQUA Raymond, died in Essen on October 23, 1944
NANGNIOT Henri, died in Essen on February 12, 1945

For the resistance fighter, LAMBERT Paul, murdered in Fleurus on July 25, 1944.

For the soldiers:
LEPINOIS Marcel, soldier killed in Riemst on May 13, 1940.
MAZIERS Antoine, soldier killed in Perwez on May 13, 1940.
TOUSSAINT Eugène, soldier killed in Gothem on May 25, 1940.
