Memorials Lambermont

There are two memorial plaques of the 1st World War on the municipal elementary school of the village of Lambermont.

The fallen soldiers and residents from Lambermont are commemorated there.

Fallen on the field of honor;

BERTRAND Armand, died in Birthley (Great Brittain) on June 29th, 1917.

BOURGEOIS Maurice, age 30, corporal in the 12th line regiment. Died of wounds on August 16th, 1914 at the military hospital in Liège. His final resting place is in the military plot of the cemetery of Sainte Walburge at Liège, grave P51-1B-17.

CROCHE Gaston, age 26, soldier, killed at Steenstraete / Zuidschote on June 24th, 1916. His final resting place is at the cemetery of Lambermont.

ROGER Auguste, died on September 26th, 1915 at Neuville-St-Vaast (France)

SIMONIS Norbert, age 25, sergeant, killed at Zarren on October 2nd, 1918. His final resting place is in the municipal cemetery of Verviers military plot 14-18 grave R1/est-2/1.

VALANSON Marcel, died on November 30th, 1917 in Adinkerke (West-Flanders)

VALANSON Maurice, died on October 14th, 1918 in Rumbeke (West-Flanders)

Died in captivity;

WILKET Olivier, age 24, corporal in the 28th Line Regiment, died of illness on January 13th, 1917 at Soltau (Germany). His final resting place is at Leopoldsburg Military Cemetery.

Deceased deported inhabitants;


ALBERT Hubert, died in Magdeburg (Germany) on March 24th, 1917

SMITH Albert, died in Wittenberg (Germany) on March 12th, 1915.
