This officer's latrine was only recently rediscovered in 2019.
This latrine was located at the front of the entrance still outside the fort itself and was used by the officers of the Engineers during the construction of the fort in the ages 1888-1892.
Once the fort was completed, the small building was attached to the fort and soldiers were able to use it. After World War I, the small building was converted into regular latrines for the soldiers.
Clearly visible are how these latrines were designed. Standing above a hole in the floor, the soldier could relieve himself. The imprint marked in cement where the feet could be placed leaves no imagination.
