Nature Reserve "Enser See"

The 23-hectare nature reserve "Enser See" is a remnant of the dam breach at Möhnetal on the night of 16/17 May 1943. The water that flowed through the breach in the dam caused a devastating flood wave in the Möhne and Ruhr valleys, causing immense damage and countless casualties. The reserve itself was established in 1981.
