British Bunker Brooklands

Built in the 1940s, this pillbox was constructed near the bridge across the River Wey to protect the Vickers factory against potential enemy paratrooper attacks. The bridge was a crucial route for moving aircraft from the factory to the airfield. This pillbox features a unique design with corner loopholes and a machine gun mounting on the roof.

The bunker now forms part of Brooklands Museum as an external historical object on the site.
