The new cemetery (II-IV) of Vaux-sous-Chèvremont contains a number of graves of soldiers who died in the 1st or 2nd World War.
Victims of the 1st World War;
BAIWIR Joseph, age 33, from Vaux-sous-Chèvremont, soldier in the artillery of La Fortresse de Liège, died in internment due to illness on November 17, 1918 at Heerlen (Netherlands). Six days after the armistice.
DAVID Simon, age 24, born in Vaux-sous-Chèvremont, soldier in the 34th line regiment, killed in action at Boortmeerbeek on September 12, 1914. See photo 2.
DECHANXHE Camille, age 25, from Vaux-sous-Chèvremont, soldier with the Artillerie de Fortresse de Liège of fort Chaudfontaine, killed on August 23, 1914 at the Marchovelette fort at Marchovelette, but missing since then. He is remembered at the grave of his son, who during World War II was a prisoner of war, and after the war served in the policeforce. See photo 1.
DELSEMME Walthere, age 25, born at Vaux-sous-Chèvremont, soldier in the 1st artillery regiment, 75 mm rapid-fire guns, died after the war at Vaux-sous-Chèvremont on May 10, 1919 from wounds received in the war. See photo 3.
LACROSSE Leopold, age 27, born at Vaux-sous-Chèvremont, soldier in the 14th line regiment, died of wounds on October 25, 1914 at Calais (France).
SOLHEID Joseph, age 28, born at Vaux-sous-Chèvremont, private in the 8th line regiment, killed at Ramskapelle on July 21, 1915, two weeks after his 28th birthday.

ALBERT Charles, age 33, resistent with the O.M.B.R., Organisation Militaire Belge de Résistance, no further details known.
CORNET Germaine, age 49, died 21 February 1943, from Vaux-sous-Chèvremont, no further details known.
GILSON Denis, age 24, from Vaux-sous-Chèvremont, brigadier with the 1st line regiment, killed on May 26, 1940 at Geluwe. See photo 4.
KEMPENER Georges, age 34, from Vaux-sous-Chèvremont, soldier with the Armée Secret, killed in action at Fôret on September 5, 1944. Also commemorated on the monument at Fôret to the fallen members of the Armée Secret during the battle of Chateau Fôret.
MALHERBE Raymond, age 24, born in Grivegnée, soldier in the 3rd regiment Chasseurs (Hunters), killed on 18 March 1945, five days before his 25th birthday, at Heiligenbeil (Germany).
TIMMERMANS Albert, age 35, Resistance member of the Armée Secret, killed in the fighting (massacre) of Fôret on September 5, 1944. Also commemorated on the monument at Fôret to the fallen members of the Armée Secret during the battle of Chateau Fôret. See photo 5.
