De Koerheuvel First Aid Station

This building, "De Koerheuvel," was set up during May 1940 as a first aid station for the defense sector of the 8th Infantry Regiment. This unit had been assigned to defend the positions on Grebbeberg in May 1940.

Wounded soldiers could be transported from a first aid station to this first aid station by stretcher or vehicle. Each first aid station was located approximately 2 kilometers behind each regiment's defense line.
