This memorial commemorates the crash of Halifax MKIII MZ312 ZA-E, on 21 July 1944. Hereby Sgt Francis Tough was killed. The fate of Sgt A. Lowrey is unknown. The other crewmenbers have been taken prisoner-of-war.
