Memorial P-47C Thunderbolt (41-6265) HV-E "Francy Ann"
This monument commemorates the crash of P-47C Thunderbolt (41-6265) HV-E "Francy Ann", on 30 July 1943. The pilot, US 2nd Lt. Jack Horton, lost his life. Resistance fighter Willem A. Groenenberg also died while trying to rescue the pilot, when the plane exploded.
