Stelling van Amsterdam - Sectorpark Ilpendam, Material Department

In 1928, the site contained eight buildings, including a conductor's house and wooden sheds. The planned tram to Purmerend/Edam was cancelled due to the end of World War I.

During the 1916 flood, equipment was temporarily stored at Fort Kwadijk. Additional sheds followed but were later demolished. In 1940, four warehouses, a conductor's house, and three sheds remained.

The Germans built two steel bunkers and an unused 4.7cm PAG armored turret here, which were later transferred to museums. After the war, members of the NSB (National Socialist Movement) worked here for DBAM, dismantling defense equipment on Rijksweg 7.

Between 1976 and 1985, demolition made way for the current interchange.

Today, three brick sheds with armored doors remain in use on an industrial estate.
