Memorial Operation "Albunem" Heraklion
This monument consists of a rock with a commemorative plaque in front of it. It stands at the entrance to Heraklion International Airport. The monument commemorates the commando raid on the airport in June 1942. The commandos managed to destroy 21 aircraft.
