Stelling van Amsterdam - Office Search Light Park

On August 1, 1914, the Lighting Park was established to provide searchlights within the Defence Line of Amsterdam. Shortly thereafter, it was given a broader task: lighting for the entire army, as part of the Engineers. Detachments were deployed to the Field Army, the Coastal Defence, and the lines. The headquarters remained in Amsterdam, where training took place.

After the war, the equipment was largely dismantled. On May 16, 1919, the Lighting Park was incorporated into the Lighting and Radio Telegraph Company of the Engineer Regiment, later part of the IIIrd Battalion with a new focus on air defense.

The Head of the Lighting Park had his office here in July 1915.
