Support Point Oostende West O19-252 - Regelbau 656
This type of German bunker was built from 1943 onwards and is a so-called "Regelbau 656," a personnel bunker for 15 men.
There are two entrances in the south wall. The following text is painted on a side wall of the western entrance: Ost-W 019-252. The bunker therefore belongs to the Oostende West strongpoint; 019 represents the widerstandnest number (Tilly 2) and 252 is the individual number.
Shortly after the Second World War, the bunker was converted into a bomb shelter.
