Commonwealth War Graves Roman Catholic Cemetery Biezenmortel

In the south-east part of Biezenmortel Roman Catholic Cemetery are the graves of six airmen, one of whom belonged to the Royal Air Force and the others to the Royal Canadian Air Force. They were the crew of the Halifax bomber MZ520 that crashed in Biezenmortel on June 17th 1944.

These crew members are buried here:

Sergeant J.M.McPherson RCAF
Sergeant E.Guinan
Pilot Officer A.G.Fairless RCAF
Sergeant H.G.Robinson RCAF
Sergeant G.O.Massicotte RCAF
Sergeant D.C.McPherson RCAF

In the plane was also another crew member, this was Sergeant L. Ellis. Ellis has survived the crash and was taken prisoner of war.

The victims are commemorated on a plaque in the Mary Chapel in Udenhout.
