Resistance Memorial Hellevoetsluis
This memorial commemorates two resistance fighters from Nieuwenhoorn who were executed by the Germans in 1945.
Theo Kwanten and Pieter Oranje are commemorated here.
Kwanten and Oranje were executed on March 8, 1945, at the shooting range in Leusden, along with 48 fellow prisoners, in reprisal for the attack on SS Commander Hanns Albin Rauter at Woeste Hoeve.
