Memorial 82nd and 101st Airborne Division

The memorial was set up to the crew of the U.S. 9th Air Force, paratroopers of the 82nd and 101st Airborne Divisions. They lost their lives when their plane crashed during the night of 5 and June 6 1944, in the vicinity of Picauville. In addition to the list of plane numbers and names of the killed crew, the location of the crashes can also be found. Near the memorial, there is a recovered engine from one of the C-47 aircraft.
