War Memorial Hardinxveld-Giessendam

This memorial is the general war memorial of Hardinxveld-Giessendam. It is a cross with on both sides a boulder.

The boulder on the left side had the following text:
[I]1940-1945
IN REMEMBRANCE OF
THE VICTIMS
OF WAR VIOLENCE AND RACIAL HATE
AND OF THOSE WHO LOST THEIR LIFES
IN THE BATTLE FOR PEACE[/I]

On the right boulder are the names of five residents of Hardinxveld-Giessendam who were killed in the Dutch Indies.
