Liberation Memorial Cannes

The memorial is located on the Avenue Francis Tonner, one of the busiest roads in Cannes. It commemorates the liberation of Cannes on August 23, 1944. The location is remarkable because it sits right next to a traffic condition at a busy intersection. The monument is relatively small and viewed by thousands of people every day.
