Polish War Graves Leyssenakkers General Cemetery Oosterhout

In a corner of the Leyssenakkers General Cemetery in Oosterhout is a separated plot with 30 Polish War Graves. These soldiers died during the fighting in West Brabant in the autumn of 1944. Every year around October 29, the liberation of Breda and Oosterhout by the 1st Polish Armored Division is commemorated here in the presence of Polish soldiers and numerous associations. A day later, similar commemorations will take place at the Polish cemeteries in Breda.

A Monument for the victims has been placed at the Polish War Graves.
