Commandantur Wehrmacht

The office of the German Wehrmacht was located at Maliebaan 84a.

From 1943 the Landguard staff came here. That was a sort of aid police that came under the NSB; in the last year of the war many men were enlisted in the Landwacht, especially for security services. During that period, the Landwacht became very notorious because of the brutal behavior that many citizens suffered.
