Memorial Synagoge Emmen

The Memorial to the Old Synagogue in Emmen is a reminder of the war years 1940-1945. Given the text on the monument is not only a reminder but also commemorates the victims and gives the current generation a good advice.

On the Star of David is the text:

Remember - Commemorate - Think again
1940-1945

The Memorial Stone reads:

In memory of the members of the Dutch Israelite Municipality of Emmen in the war 1940 - 1945 who have been deported.

Below this text are the 125 names and dates of birth of the Jewish victims.
