Memorial Jewish Children Rotterdam

On the Stieltjesstraat next to a part of the wall of the harbor area, within the former Loods 24 was located, there is a monument for 686 Rotterdam Jewish children aged 0 to 12, who were transported from Loods 24 to Westerbork in 1942 and 1943 and from there on transport. went to Auschwitz and Sobibor.

A plaque has been placed in the street. The text on the plaque reads:

'From this place in 1942 and 1943
also 686 Rotterdam Jewish children
from one month to twelve years
were deported. They all became
murdered in Auschwitz or Sobibor. '


On 10 April 2013, Mayor Aboutaleb of Rotterdam unveiled along with elementary school students and in the presence of invited guests and a large group of interested people the Jewish Children's Memorial.
