Memorial Café Zuid Ginkel

On 10 May 1940 a patrol was ambushed at Café Zuid Ginkel. The three cavalry men were killed by a shot through the head. A memorial at the carpark of Herberg Zuid Ginkel is placed in remembrance. The text on the memorial is:

The plaque of the memorial was attached to the front wall of the café. In May 2016 it became part of this memorial. Bonkerk and Dijkers are buried at Ede General Cemetery.
