Liberation monument Baarn

The monument is described as a liberation monument.It is located in the Amalia Park.

The following is written on the central wall:
A cross with 1940 left and 1945 right

On the copper left plaque the text:
THIS MONUMENT WAS ESTABLISHED IN 1946 TO REMEMBER
SECOND WORLD VICTIMS.


On the stone right plaque the following text:
1940 - 1945
IN MEMORIAL TO THE RESIDENTS OF BAARN
GIVING THEIR LIFE FOR OUR FREEDOM

then the 32 names of the inhabitants

There is a plaque in front of the monument with the text:
COMMEMORATION VICTIMS
WWII
IN THE DUTCH EAST INDIES

THE MELATI IS THE
SYMBOL OF RESPECT
INVOLVEMENT AND COMPASSION
