This German anti aircraft emplacement (FLAK) was build on top of a Dutch V.I.S. casemate "Hollandsch Diep II', at the north side of the Moerdijk Bridge.
The casemate was built in 1937, the year is located in the climbing shaft.

Hollands Diep II is located at the very tip of the Island of Dordrecht, directly east of the railway bridge. This casemate had a field of fire that covered the water east of the bridge as well as the railway bridge itself. The casemate was armed with a heavy Schwarzlose machine gun. Together with the Hollandsch Diep I casemate, they were able to give crossfire on the northern part of the road bridge.

The later FLAK-emplacement was part of the Baupunkt 97 of the Stutzpunktgruppe Moerdijk.
