Stumbling Stone Eesterweg 6

Rienold Terpstra is a farmer's son from Doezum who lives and works on the farm with his parents. Like the other farmers in Doezum, Rienold refuses to supply milk during the strikes. When the milk supply resumes under pressure from the occupier on 3 May, Rienold, along with about 20 others, stops a milk truck on its way to the dairy. While the others empty the milk cans, Rienold holds the horse.

This action will cost him dearly. When Rienold is milking the cows the next morning, a patrol car picks him up at the farm in Doezum. Once in the Scholtenhuis he is sentenced to death. That same day, at the age of 29, Rienold Terpstra was summarily executed on the premises of the straw cardboard factory Beukema in Hoogezand. Where the Germans buried him is unclear: Rienold is still missing.
