This Affuitloods (Military Depot) is in the vicinity of Fort Uithoorn.
The "Fort bij Uithoorn (Fort at Uithoorn)", model B, was completed in 1911 as part of the Stelling van Amsterdam (Defence Line of Amsterdam, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site).
The fort was mobilized both in 1914-1918 (amongst others also by an anti aircraft unit) and in 1940. In World War II, the Germans used it as part of the 'Vordere Wasserstellung'.
