Memorial Resistance Apeldoorn

Monument placed in memory of the blacksmith and resistance member Cees Meerhof who was arrested by the Sicherheitsdienst on 10 January 1945 for possession of weapons during the Second World War.
Cees Meerhof was deported to the Neuengamme concentration camp where he died between March 15 and May 3, 1945.

The memorial was originally located on the Gemeentewerf on the Beurtvaartstraat. It was later moved to City Hall.
