Jacksons International Airport (7 Mile Drome)

This former air base (named after RAAF Squadron Leader John F. Jackson) was built before the Second World War and was expanded and used by the RAAF and USAAF during the Second World War. The air base was attacked by the Japanese air force between February 24, 1942 - September 20, 1943.
