Grave of Lt. Nevill Windsor Hill Trevor

This is the grave of Lt. Nevill Windsor Hill Trevor (third son of Lord and Lady Trevor) of the TMI late 2nd Life Guards, killed in action on 25 January 1900 in the Battle of Spioenkop. Alongside his grave are the graves of two unknown soldiers.

The Battle of Spioenkop (Spion Kop) took place from 20 to 24 January 1900 between the Boer troops the South African Republic and the Orange Free State and British forces, during the campaign to relieve Ladysmith. The battle was won by the Boer. 243 Brits and 68 Boer were killed.
