The Honorable Mention in the Order of the day was shown by wearing a silver, as from 1940 a golden, crown on the ribbon of the "Ereteken voor Belangrijke Krijgsbedrijven". IN later period, high awards were awarded "with Honorable Mention". When the "Bronzen Leeuw" was instituted, the "Crown for Honorable Mentioning" was regarded obsolete. Between 1821 and 1940 a total of 4.598 Honorable Mention's have been awarded.
