Biography

George I. Pridham, a Toronto native born on July 1, 1921, enlisted in the R.C.A.F. in 1939. As an Air Gunner with the 408 Squadron, he flew 48 missions before being shot down over Holland in June 1943. He spent a year as a prisoner of war before repatriation in 1944.
Retiring as a Flight Lieutenant, he later served 13 years with the Militia, reaching the rank of Major.
