Cornelius, Staff Sergeant, 31362937, "A" Btry 569th Antiaircraft Artillary Weapons Battalion (Mobile), United States Army, is awarded the Bronze Star Medal for meritorius services against an enemy of the US during the period from 28 January 1945 to 8 May 1945 in France and Germany. As Platoon Sgt he was responible for the smooth operation and functioning of his platoon through the battles of Alsace, the Rhineland and Southern Germany under hazardous and trying conditions. Entered military service from the State of Massachusetts.
