    "Who as a sailor on board the s.s. "Titus" during a heavy air attack in the port of Palermo on the 1st of August 1943, has acted courageously and energetically, while carrying out his duties in extinguishing the fire on board the ship and carrying out a very complicated manoeuvre, as a result of which the ship and cargo have been saved."
