"Captain Roszek commenced his duty in the Ordnance Service in the first half of 1942, in his capacity of DADOS, he contributed to a great degree to the organisation of the Corps Ordnance Service. Thanks to his energy, skill in planning, Initiative and devotion to his work, 2 Polish Corps was always supplied with battle requirements, throughout the Italian Campaign. Regardless of conditions, often extremely difficult, he always kept his balance of mind, setting a good example to his subordinates. During the preparations for the Spring Offensive on the River Senio and during the battle itself he greatly contributed to a proper preparation of all equipment so the units were able to carry out their task, having all their requirements supplied."
