Biography

Colonel Hormell was a passenger as personal-aide to General Devers in a plane that crashed with 4 generals in Ireland on Jan 15, 1943. Without his intervention the plane would have kept flying over the ocean until it ran out of fuel.

Colonel Hormell retired due to a disability (lost his hearing) after the war ended.
